MMCG signed memorandums of cooperation with RTV Budva and RTV Podgorica

MMCG signed memorandums of cooperation with RTV Budva and RTV Podgorica

The memorandums open space for discussion about greater involvement of youth in media work and the creation of media content.

At the final event of the Western Balkans Youth Lab, held on October 16 at the European House in Podgorica, discussions were held about the impact of social networks on youth information, media literacy, and the challenges of hate speech in the online space. Within the program, research findings on this topic were also presented, and the signing of the memorandum of cooperation between Mreža za mlade Crne Gore (MMCG) and Radio Television Budva and Radio Television Podgorica was of special importance.

The memorandums express readiness to establish dialogue and consider possibilities for greater youth involvement in media work and the creation of media content. Forms of cooperation and specific activities will be defined in the upcoming period, in accordance with the possibilities and interests of each party.

On behalf of RTV Budva, the memorandum was signed by Sabrija Vulić, the chief and responsible editor of that media house, while on behalf of RTV Podgorica it was signed by Nemanja Lacman, deputy chief and responsible editor.

On behalf of Mreža za mlade Crne Gore, the memorandum was signed by Vladimir Perazić.

The cooperation is aimed at opening space for more visible participation of youth in the media environment, respecting their voices, perspectives, and experiences, as well as the possibilities and working methods of each media outlet.

The signing of the memorandum represents an important step in strengthening MMCG's cooperation with the media and opens space for dialogue with other media houses, in order to develop new partnerships and create additional opportunities for youth inclusion in the media space in the upcoming period.

The event was organized within the project Western Balkans Youth Lab, implemented by Mreža za mlade Crne Gore (MMCG) in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Ministry of Culture and Media, and the Agency for Audiovisual Media Services, with the support of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and financial support from the European Union.
