LGBT Forum Progres

LGBT Forum Progres is the first and oldest non-governmental organization that brings together LGBTIQ persons in Montenegro and advocates for the respect and protection of their human rights and equality in society. Our vision is Montenegro as a democratic society in which the LGBTIQ community is accepted, visible, and protected.

The mission of our organization is to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all LGBTIQ persons through providing educational opportunities, community building, public advocacy, political participation, and improving access to various services that contribute to better quality of life and health.

The beginning of LGBT Forum Progres's work can be considered the first gathering of our team during 2010. The efforts of this informal group of LGBTIQ persons, guided by the principles of equality and progress, as well as the vision embedded in the very foundations of Progres, led to the drafting of the organization's Founding Act in December 2010 and its formal registration in January 2011.

Since then until today, LGBT Forum Progres has been tirelessly and dedicatedly working for the welfare and improvement of the position of all LGBTIQ persons in Montenegro, through numerous programs and project activities.
