Center for Youth Education

NGO Center for Youth Education is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political youth organization, founded in Podgorica in 2009, with the aim to support, affirm, and encourage young people to strengthen activism, volunteerism, mobility, and non-formal education. As a socially responsible organization, it has been implementing domestic and international projects for years that relate to strengthening the capacities of youth, their non-formal education, development of youth participation culture, providing mechanisms for nurturing activism, development of youth work as support in the process of becoming independent, improvement of intersectoral cooperation, and creating an encouraging environment for their personal and professional development.

During more than fifteen (15) years of work in Montenegro and Europe, through its programs, projects, and partner initiatives, the organization has had the opportunity to directly and indirectly involve more than 105,000 young people. In that period, partnerships were established with more than 300 legal entities in Montenegro and Europe, including state institutions, universities, high schools, local governments, private companies, international organizations, and actors from the non-profit sector.

The organization strives to contribute with its ideas and programs to creating better conditions for growing up, maturing, living, and working of young people in our environment. The values it nurtures include teamwork, tolerance, inclusiveness, transparency, agility, desire for networking and innovativeness in work, as well as readiness and openness to new experiences and knowledge. In everyday work, the organization applies agile project management principles, relying on short planning cycles, clear division of responsibilities, regular monitoring of progress, fast exchange of information, and continuous improvement of activities through feedback from the team, partners, and users.

The organization actively operates through several national, European, and international networks dedicated to improving the position of youth, development of social innovations, entrepreneurship, and strengthening civil society.

It is a member of various international networks: European Youth Card Association (EYCA), Social Impact Award (SIA), Youth 4Health Network, and Euclid Network (EN). At the national level, it is a co-founder of the umbrella youth association - Mreža mladih Crne Gore, as well as a member of the Union of Employers of Montenegro and the Union of Young Entrepreneurs of Montenegro.
